The Quest for Happiness.. and what Life has to offer when you’re contemplating…
I sometimes wonder what that means - it is subjective after all - like colors of a rainbow - to some violet is purple, and blue is green. If you’re color blind, happiness is subjective because meat to one could be poison to the other.
I remembered a friend from Facebook once asked me what happiness meant to me..
In not so many words… I’m happy when I create without waiting for things to happen or when I see children smile, giggling away playing with toys in their worlds.
I’m also happy when a mother proudly speaks of her off springs, or when the rain falls cleansing the hot earth; when a train departs and arrives and I’m waiting to greet a friend; listening to Janet Jackson’s latest hit, or even watch a French movie on my desktop. It doesn’t take too much to make me happy, but what makes me extremely happy is when I work for the happiness of others - be it writing a poem, humming a tune, praying that humans live their lives fully without regrets; or setting up new companies and vetting through CVs / resumes of talented personalities out of a job or seeking a better challenge.
Happiness is when my heart is within the Heart of the Universe - living and appreciating life to the fullest without looking back; thinking the unthinkable; stretching my legs at the end of the day; smiling to myself; listening to birds chirping; waters rustling in the river; greeting the Sun and welcoming the Moon.
Happiness is knowing that life has so much more to offer, if only we grant it a moment and embrace it fearlessly as we did when we were in our Mummy’s womb!
