I’m packing a suitcase tonight – no strike that – make it a backpack. It was not planned. It just doesn’t make sense for me to travel out of Klang Valley tomorrow. I dislike traveling domestically – there is nothing to see alongside the highways {since we’re driving down} – just green turning grey turning green woosh woosh break, traffic lights, idiots crossing the roads as if their fathers built them {maybe their fathers did, but hey if they valued life, they wouldn’t just cross the roads as if their fathers built them} and before you know it you’re there – you’ve arrived your destination.
I hope that the journey will be fast, and the air filled with cool fresh mountain dew, but I am going to Johor and off to Singapore which is in the south – the south is synonymous to bourgeoise-y ‘arrogance’ – something I can do without at the mo’. Royalty there are so different from Royalty in the northern or central region. But I’m not meeting them – I’m going down for a presentation, but the likelihood of bumping into them is like Solomon, and the Ants. That should account for about four hours by car, if someone is awake. And anything which is not a Maserati, Audi, or a Jaguar is not.
In my mind, my legs hurt already. I am 185{cm}, and squeezing myself in a car built for people below 160cm is so not a car. I see in my mind, these little tin caskets zapping about 80 to 110km/h and I’m not the least worried. I just wonder if the weight of the vehicle could withstand a whiplash in an accident.
Malaysian roads are filled with accidents like fish drinking water in the oceans.
I must remember to lug my Thinkpad too. I need it to show them how tech-savvy I am {yeah, your eyes are popping as you read this, but I’m so not that bloody vain!} and how condescending I can be, like the typical urbanite, fully pumped and strutting like a proud peahen. She can be proud, but its the peacock that unfurls his dazzling veils.
“Oh gawd, oh gawd – What on planet earth am I going to wear ? “
There’s a reason for product designers to design something less huggable – make it practical – use nanochips – we’re already there, but we have to make it cheaper darling – make those chips cheaper!! – Plug a pen drive into a wafer thin tablet which acts as both CPU and VDU – foldable like a mobile gadget – that will take the bulk of mobile meetings a level higher. But no, we’re living in the twenty-first century, and we’re still limiting our thoughts to the 1st millennia. The Science of Change{s} {tomorrow} is just around the corner – we’re already embracing it, just make it faster – I’m already bored with designs initiated in the past. As babies look older when they’re just about three days old, I hope to see more evolved designs in the near future.
Check the design applications and download it to play with – you never know you might come up with an award-winning design for a future project, and may even jump start and fuse both dormant left & right hemispheres of the brain.
