Go MAC!

IBMI was about to write off IBM in my working paper.

I had an issue way back in the eighties when my NetVista’s CPU started churning smoke. An email to the CEO then, had the whole IBM in Malaysia and Singapore to my rescue – I am grateful for the attention. Ever since they sold stocks to Lenovo, after sales service have been negligible.

I called Notebookshop in KLCC after switching on the system {the ThinkCentre} one morning to find the 17″ LDU ThinkVision showcasing a white mug. I was surprised. In my mind, I had hoped nothing of this nature would happen, but it did – hardware are capable of breaking down and dying – so do humans.

Foo, of Notebookshop.com.my was kind enough to revert. He was on leave that day – he had to visit his GP. Under stress, he came by, and brought his old 14″ LG monitor {you know the bulky mid eighties design – all in beige} after checking what went wrong with the ThinkVision. I was frantic – I have work to do, and a long working paper to finish not to mention site translation for a new social network in Germany.

“Ms AainaA, you could do your work on the T42″ he said. That added salt to injury – I almost fainted. All my files are in my ThinkCentre. Well, at least the ones that I need working on., and it’s not yet 1 year old. The system is rarely been used – I’ve been working at Darby for a long time – I just don’t have time to switch on the system to tinker thoughts away.

For the past ten years I have been advocating IBM hardware. I believe with IBM’s retard in taking my issue as a serious case is putting me back into re-thinking what other possible hardware I might want to consider replacing – I may revert to the Macintosh {Apple / PowerPC or whatever it is called these days}. I am seriously considering replacing my working paper with only HP or even the Apple Mac. I think its time. If the Americans didn’t bother about their business, why should I even bother trying to save the brand.

Now, that’s serious lovemarking in the quotient!!

IBM called today. They said it will take approximately 3 to 4 days for them to tinker with my ThinkVision. They have to ensure that it will not happen again – I told them I have work to do, and killing 3 to 4 days would equate to IBM’s CEO’s pay for the month, and if they’re willing to pay me that fee for their retard.

I do have a 3-year warranty package – why can’t they just come to replace the failed hardware ?

After going back and forth, loosing 2 days due to miscommunication and handling this issue, I rest my case. There are only two types of people in this world when it comes to hardware – those who understand binary, and those who don’t – {in other words, those who understand IBM {or PC Compatibilities} and those who understand 64-bit Apple Macintosh}.

Where do you think IBM Lenovo stands today ?
