AainaA

The Alchemist of the Soul

A Taste of Heaven

Cafe BeaubourgSouled Out is a neat joint, in … what’s the name of that place again, Nisa ? … Mont Kiara – I can see how it’s driving in the crowds there. The food is sumptious, and the price is amazingly affordable.

“I’m 10 minutes from your place” she texted. I switched off the PC, and jumped under the shower. With this heatwave {heck, I’d like to call it despite the heavy downpour this afternoon} I’ll do anything to get wet, and stay wet {under the shower that is!}. I’ve been vetting through Real Estate properties in Italy, and France. I’ve also been vetting through the resumes, and CVs sent in by very talented personalities interested in being part of the next project I have in mind {and its almost there..}. Maxis has been slow again – I don’t really know what to say anymore. I just hope they’ll buck up – its tedious having to work this way. … and I thought it’d be much better than Telekom Malaysia {boy, who are they kidding?}

“AainaA, the fish is really fresh” Nisa exclaimed. I was really surprised – apart from getting really fresh sashimi, at Onsen, most local restaurants don’t serve fish this fresh – I was impressed – the butterfish is nice.. cooked {though I prefer it raw}. The sauce was just a dash… I {just} had to scoop some of Nisa’s hot spicy gravy from her Chicken Vindaloo. It was seriously spicy, and I was gulping in the mixed veg juice a concoction of Capsicum, Cucumber and Celery {3C’s babes! as in Clarity, Color and Carat} .

The music zapped Nisa gyrating in her seat – I could hardly hear anything – just voices buzzing in a frenzied state.

Owned by Fred, and Michelle, in-laws to Stephen Tey, and his spouse Monique, Souled~out is a fresh scene for those of us just back from abroad looking out for a neat place to chill with friends. Animated, it is anything but European though the menu is surprisingly neo-Asian with a dash of originality. I like this place – it reminded me of Cafe Beaubourg {in the eighties} in Paris, and I’ll return to haunt it once a while with friends. Good food, good music – what else do you want ? You’d be surprised at who comes here – from rockstars to writers and bloggers, through CEOs, and Marketing Directors… and the hip yuppies getting a taste of heaven for the first time.
