In Service of Asian Gods

Posted by: AainaA In: +| sauce

Asian GodsIf you’re in Malaysia, do call this number +60.12925 8346 for FREE… {Fill in the blanks yourself}.

Well to tell you the truth, this lady called me thrice this morning jolting me out of bed. Obviously she’s from some god-forsaken planet ‘kurang ajar‘ {literally translated as being “mal élevée”} shouting in Malay…“Patutlah banyak masaalah, hang tak bangun sembahyang” {literally translated, ‘no wonder you have many problems, you do not pray to the gods}

Or she’s obliviously demented {albeit frustrated because she didn’t get laid or worst!}, and eagerly waiting to curse the mirror {AainaA} and in the process cursed herself to oblivion.

Only in Malaysia would I come up with this odd ‘problem’ - in a country eager to correct others for their ‘misdemeanors’, Malaysia is NOT one of the countries in South East Asia vying for respect, and privacy - Unfortunately, the Government is NOT doing anything about respecting the peoples’ privacy, and Lord Knows what the Multimedia Commission is doing about it seeing they insist we have any or all of our numbers registered with them in case the inevitable happens {like terrorism acts - which may include advisory services demanding people to do be in service to the Gods, and/or ’signaling’ and activating a bomb in KLCC, or worst!}.

I oftentimes wonder if the blinders on a race horse are embedded in the minds of these ‘liberated’ government officers, and the common people.

Malaysia vie for stability in the 21st century - the government talks about serving the people that elect them, yet fail to ensure the security of the people - the one thing lacking and much needed in metropolitan Malaysia. No foreigner {or a local} is vouched safe in the country - Malaysia has turned into one of those ‘cowboy towns’ we see in monochrome movies on tele. Foreigners {and the locals} are capable of being killed, murdered, hacked or even bombed in what is deemed a ’safe haven’ Malaysia is marketing to sell, the idea of Malaysia My Second Home program. Malaysia’s PR Campaign is remarkably well paid!

“Man sees in another his own fault.”

Unfortunately too, I’m not the only one who has been receiving ‘crank’ calls in the wee hours of the morning. Dina Zaman, the famed ‘I am Muslim’ award-winning writer, used to complain to me one time, why she was harassed by many ’stalkers’ - obviously the state of the country reflect the ‘kurang ajar-ness’ {literally translated - ‘improper upbringing’} of its populace. If you’re a bit ‘popular’ or seen as a popular target you’d be best off in Cannes, Hollywood, or Bollywood. Kuala Lumpur, or elsewhere within the country is NOT a safe place for living low key.

My number is unfortunately plastered on the Web and on my business cards, since it’s a business number, and if some deranged lunatic or slut from ‘heaven’ decide to call on me, preaching the goodness of ‘prayer’ albeit knowing very well, “according to them that I am not perceived as someone who prays” - there is only one thing I can do.

I am reporting this case to the police, and informing my lawyers.

I just pray {no pun intended} she {the caller} has enough guts to face her innermost demons {albeit Gods, and Goddesses} and surmount her insecurities and complexities today, tomorrow and on her deathbed. I will not tolerate this any longer, and hope that Mr. Abdullah Badawi Prime Minister of Malaysia as of writing, or his office where the Malay Government is seen aggressively vying for dominance in the upcoming elections do something about it too.

I have informed the personnel at Maxis Telecommunications Company {Telco} to look into this matter. Something has got to be done about such ‘trivialities’ which may one day lead to a bigger problem if not solved.

To the lady shouting in the wee hours reconciling me of her consternations with her God or Demons, “The one who troubles much about the cause is far {removed} from the cause.

I rest my case.
