I’d ask you if I were still in kindergarten where I used to play, as a child… “What car or city would you be if you’re petrol, or stamp?” … my kindergarten teacher never ceased to stop ME from asking, according to her, ’silly’ questions.
Just a few years ago upon reaching adulthood, when I was a teacher in the Ecole Française de Kuala Lumpur {and how time seemed to twinkle over the years} teaching art, and crafts.. I had asked if they, the children, were paint and brushes what would they likely end up as on a canvas, or a paper umbrella, a candle, or art stock. Contemporary educators rarely used their imaginative skills - to communicate with children, you’d not only need to have that inborn skills that you’ve never left your childhood - that you still can remember how to merge both worlds - acquired skills and knowledge as adults, and the ability to remember and communicate with a child yet to reach puberty.
This is when and how… as a parent, perhaps an educator, a teacher…how you are able to shape the ‘leaders ‘ in the school of fishes, without encroaching your weight as being one, and guide the younger flock to excellence, opening their minds to coalesce involutions, and how their perception can actually instigate change{s} in a chaotic world. It is after all, how children perceive the worlds that make for a better world.
“What would you like to be when you grow up…?”
You’d be equally surprised when asking yourself, if your current and present situation reflect that age-old dream{s} you once had as a child. If not, why not change the thoughts - edit the picture frames, and opt for a better ending.
