Oh Baby, I’ve Got Mail!
You know what I love about Zenbe? Its the colors – its pastel hues are a joy to the eyes – and its very well designed too. I could do with a faster load response, but I guess when they’re in Beta, they still need to work that out. Being ad-free, its like watching Cable with all the extras packaged in. The other thing that caught my eye with Zenbe, the newest Web 2.0 {yup!} electronic mail provider is that you can literally import all your contacts and then edit their little profiles plus have the facility to add their personal details like birthdays, and mugshots!
Zenbe reminded me of the once infamous USA.net email provider in the early nineties – but with the added plus. Albeit with all the APIs available, all you need to ensure your application gets wired is to use it intelligently! You can link both Gmail and Yahoo Mail to your Zenbe account, and even get to browse updates of all your Facebook contacts. Double wowzer for you on this one. What makes it more appealing is that it’s not just an email account like everyone else – just to remind you, its advertising free meaning you’ll never see Ad-sense or those ad-banners, pop-ups or unders…; its added features include tagging, rules to tag and filter incoming or outgoing mails, search intelligence, multitasking, calendering {yeah, you can even import your other calendars!}, a great todo list that will ensure you get things done, , sharing pages and information and best of all, it looks like none other!
Where documents are concerned, you can upload them up to your account! This is one email provider that you’ll be satisfied without having to have multiple accounts! Zenbe comes with Zenpages – its a facility to let you create your own pages therein – something like a scrapbook of sorts – almost similar to what Evernote did with its desktop client. With Zenpages you can clip and capture webpages and notes to your heart’s content, and make your research paper complete minus the doctorate degree. Gosh, and they’re still in beta? Imagine when they’re ready to be fully launched? They’d likely come up with a theme song or something.. maybe a AV mail capability or a built-in WidSet capability to work on portable telephony.
Keep your ears and eyes open for Zenbe – Its worth the ride baby!
