The Night of a Thousand nights
by AainaA
And on the Night… Of a thousand nights,
The Sun, reveals {its soul} in all its splendour the Moon hidden {from sight}
Shining {like a beacon}, birthing Light in the darkness of a thousand veils
Black {they say}, is a beautiful colour — yet what is black, veiled from
Beginning to the End, this metaphor you reminisce {within} yet beyond
A sight behold, for on the Night of a thousand nights
Unveiled as a heart, awaken {by the presence} of Being {RuhiilQuddus}
When hearts pine for solace to return, embracing Love as
Would soul separated cries to ascend, the Night of a thousand nights
Between {the worlds} the East, and that of the West
When {the} Worlds are deep amidst stars, drunken {with ‘quintessence’}
The Horizon, between two fingers of Unity {AtTauhiid} meet {at} Ascension
Neither the Above, nor the Below for words define governance {place}
Yet, on the Night… Of a thousand nights, unveiled for Muhammad {the Secret of all humankind} This very expression, a taste beyond honey, and wine is Light far divine
{And} On the Night… Of a thousand nights, the heart unveiled, as would mind
Inclined to intelligence {the presence of Light}, the One Alone
For if beauty is what you seek, look at the worlds — how beautiful are the worlds, yet
It is just the worlds; look yonder… Beyond {where} all worlds are words inscribed {Qur’aanulQariim}
These verses {Suroh}, the inkdrop {aliken a world} form {from the Well of Intelligence} the very repetition {histories}of humanity, re-culled, uttered on {the} lips proclaiming being {Other than Life};
For if wealth is what you seek, look at the perfected {Universe – InsaanulKamiil} — how complete a perfection {not one flaw can be testimonied} is birthed from a non-thing-ness {not nothing!}, apparent, yet hidden — veiled yet apparent, yet on this awaited Night… Of a thousand nights, faces three hundred and sixty meridian degrees meet {at} Makkah AlMukaromah – the one {black} dot within worlds of blankness, the Universal {binary} DNA-code is embodied {as in Tawaf, and Sa’ii} yet it just the Universe;
For if {the} Return is what you seek, look at the Soul, for in all majesty {of the Kingdom}be {none other than}for that in its own accord, Life epitomized
And on the Night… Of a thousand nights,
The Sun, reveals {its soul} in all its splendour the Moon hidden {from sight}
Shining {like a beacon}, birthing Light in the darkness of a thousand veils
Black {they say}, is a beautiful colour — yet what is black, veiled from

Here’s wishing you, a reflective Eid Mubarraq! and a safe return Home.
